What's your "hidden gem" spot on or nearby campus?

My hidden gem is Swan Lake. It's beautiful in every season and the perfect spot to take a moment to appreciate our peaceful and beautiful campus. 

Which campus event do you never miss (and why)?

I love going to the Dual Enrollment Extravaganza. I enjoy meeting and connecting with students who are excited about participating in dual enrollment.

What does it mean to be a Laker?

Being a Laker means being a part of a community where people care. It's about helping students reach their goals and cheering them on every step of the way. 

If you could have one superpower while helping students, what would it be?

If I could have one superpower, it would be a looking glass that lets students see their future success. Sometimes all students need is a little glimpse of what's waiting for them if they keep working hard to reach their goals. 

If you could give your freshman self one piece of advice, what would it be?

I'd tell my freshman self to relax ~ you don't have to have it all planned out yet. Enjoy the experience, meet new people, and give yourself grace while figuring it all out. As Helen Hayes said, "The expert in anything was once a beginner."

What song always get you pumped for the day?

I'm So Blessed by Cain ~ it's my go-to song to start the day on a positive note.
